As a United Methodist Church we believe in an active mission oriented faith, relying on Jesus Christ as the ultimate authority. We also use these sources and guidelines:

Scripture: We believe the word of God contained in the Bible tells us how to live as Christians.

Tradition: We believe our heritage, which includes hymns and rituals, helps us understant how Christians have historically interpreted God's will and we explore new interpretations of those traditions.

Christian Experience: We believe everyone personally experiences God's pardoning and healing love.

Reason: We believe all truth comes from God and that our beliefs must make sense.
